After the release of the redesigned Android app, we heard from various customers that the app would be even better if it could handle automatic translations (via Google Translate) to match the experience on the web dashboard.
It became clear this was a popular request with agents and businesses who need to support customers across the world, regardless of language their customers or visitors are speaking.
If you are interested in getting early access to the update with automatic translation support, you will need to make sure your device meets the following requirements:
- Android device on OS 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and above
- Access to the Google Play Store & Google Play Services
- Zendesk Chat account on any plan (including Lite)
If you are already registered as a beta tester on our Google Play listing, you don't need to do anything! The app update should automatically appear for your device in the next week or so.
If you are not part of the beta tester group and meet the requirements above, please go to https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.zopim.android to register as a beta tester in the Play Store.
