    Hi Lauren,

    Yes, the top bar app in Support will display avatars if the user logs in using Facebook/Google or the email matches one in Gravatar.

    Hi Ramin, is there a way to send to Zendesk chat/support the avatar saved in our app? Each user can upload a avatar to his/her account and we would like to visualize that avatar while chatting with them. Thanks!!

    Hi Ana,

    Currently, there is no way to push your own customer image into that section but you can look at building a custom sidebar app that talks to your internal system.

    This is what most larger businesses do to talk to their internal CRM systems.

    Hi Ramin,

    Our customers are also asking for their avatars that appear in the community forum and managed via their Zendesk profile to be available in chat.

    Do you have an estimate for when this functionality will be available?

    Hi Jason,

    Currently, the integration only supports pulling from Gravatar or the Facebook/Google profile used to log into the widget. We don't have any plans in 2018 to expand that to custom uploaded images to help center/community.

    If you need this now, you could look into pulling the visitor's image using the REST API (https://developer.zendesk.com/rest_api/docs/core/end_user) and integrating it into a custom widget using the Web SDK (https://api.zopim.com/web-sdk/)

    Thank you for the feedback and workaround. We would prefer to avoid a custom solution for what we sincerely hope is baseline functionality for an integrated set of Zendesk solutions in the future.
