I’m using the Zendesk Chat app in Zendesk Support. Is there a way to easily find or automatically open the ticket associated with the chats I recently served?
Yes, when using the Chat app in Zendesk Support, there is an option to open a ticket automatically when the chat session ends. This setting can be controlled by selecting the View related ticket on chat end option that appears on the display page when ending a chat with a visitor.
To open a chat ticket automatically
- Click the End Chat button on top right of the chat panel when finished chatting.
- Click the checkbox View related ticket on chat end, then select End Chat.
After selecting End Chat, the agent will be directed to the created ticket. This ticket will include the transcript from the chat session.
