With the release of the redesigned iOS app, the Chat team will be deprecating support for the old iPhone app (below version 1.0) on April 23rd at 4am GMT/ 12pm SGT.
If you have already updated your iOS devices to the latest version of the Zendesk Chat app, you will not be impacted and can ignore this announcement.
The team are planning to make general infrastructure changes to improve reliability that will impact the connection method of the legacy Zendesk Chat app.
The new app has the same and even more functionality than the outgoing app. It is also more reliable in maintaining an active dashboard connection. You can learn more about the new features in the updated app here.
The old Zendesk Chat app will stop working on April 23rd at 4am GMT/ 12pm SGT
If you continue to use the old iPhone app after April 23rd, you and your agents using the app will be disconnected from the server and all future login attempts in the old app will fail.
If you or your agents are using an iOS device with iOS 10 or higher, the device is compatible to download and use the new app. Update the app by going to the App Store on your device or install the new app by going here.
